If you choose to start your journey of change, at Rising Strong Counseling, I will work with you to help you develop the strategies you need to find your inner strength, confidently take a new direction in life, and continue your journey with joy!  Together, we will work closely to analyze the issues you are facing and their underlying causes, and try to change the behaviors and thought patterns that are keeping you from being the best version of you! 

I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Fox University.  Prior to that, I earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology: Family Studies from Corban University.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists, and a board approved clinical supervisor.  While counseling is most often not a quick fix; I will utilize a personalized, trauma-sensitive, cultural-sensitive, and integrated approach to helping you, which may include Restoration Therapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.  

And if you are still reading, you’re probably hoping to hear a little about me, personally, not just what you’ll see in the counseling room.  Well, what would you like to know?  My name is Crystal and I am married to my high school sweetheart, though now we have two kids in high school.  We have two boys, who each get to be completely themselves in different ways. We enjoy the Oregon coast and walking the beautiful waterfalls we have here in the Pacific Northwest.  We have a mini husky (Alaskan Klee Kai) who is a forever puppy and she is definitely the favorite in our house!  I am a deep thinker and enjoy meaningful conversations where I challenge myself and others to learn, grow, and rise strong through the trials of life.
